All Isaac all the time

“Isaac, the biggest storm the Weather Channel has ever created!” That should be the lasting impression of this storm. Yes, there has been some flooding in Louisiana because the storm slowed down but if you have been watching the Worry Channel for the last two weeks, you would think this was going to be a once in lifetime storm. It was but only if you’re a baby just born! Sunshine Cindy and I went down to the beach on Tuesday to check out the wave action. They were pretty cool but I have seen it rougher. But actually this was okay by me, no need to push the limits. The state of Florida got off easy and that’s a good thing.

Yeah, Florida got hammered. LOL

While we were down at the beach we talked to some other locals. It seems like a lot of people had the same idea we did. After a few minutes of being there we looked up and coming down the walkway was Eric Stone and Kim. They were still in town and had the same idea we did. Everyone was watching the sky as the radar was showing a band of rain coming our way. We knew we might have to make a run for it. We looked up the walkway and here came Russ on his bike being kind of pulled by his dog Ginger. It was now officially a party! But a party that was short lived. Russ barely got stopped and here came the rain. It came down in buckets. We said our goodbye’s and made the mad dash to BadAss.

Eric, Kim, Steve and Sunshine Cindy

We decided to head to Friday’s for a few beers and some food. Driving over the rain almost stopped until we pulled into the parking lot. Then once again the skies opened up. By the time we got inside to the bar we were soaked. Oh well, we didn’t melt. Ruth was there and we chatted with her for a while as we watched the indoor waterfall. They have a leak in the roof. It was leaking from two different spots by the bar with one spot actually coming down like you were in a shower. I think they need to fix that before someone gets hurt. The rain didn’t last too long and after we ate we went back home.

Wednesday was actually a little more stormy than Tuesday was. It was still nothing terrible for us. Go a few miles east to Panama City and they got almost nothing. In fact a friend posted saying the only two days in the month they didn’t get some rain over there was when they were under a Tropical Storm Warning. Go figure. We stayed in Wednesday evening. I got some Crab Island Mambo updates done and we chilled which was nice.

The harbor back to normal

On Thursday everything is back to normal around the Emerald Coast. Sunshine Cindy and I got our weekend started. We went to Millers Ale House. College football has started and the place was packed. We enjoyed the Bud Light bucket special, had some food and chatted with Jared, one of the managers of the place. We are hoping they will advertise with us on the Crab Island Mambo web site. From there we stopped at The Palms. The Palms is a beautiful condo complex. They are changing their bar to a sports bar. A few people were there and they are almost done with the transformation. It will be nice and it's right across the street from us.

Have a great Labor Day weekend. See ya Monday.....

Trop Rock Chaos and Isaac

It has been a hectic couple of days here in paradise. Tropical Storm Isaac is all you hear about but for us Friday was a prep day for our party at Anglers. I left work early to go help unload and set up the stage for Saturday. Still in my work clothes I was put to work when I got there. Sunshine Cindy and I also moved tables around to get the right set-up for the party. We also brought all our merchandise upstairs and got our banners hung. By the time we were done, I was a sweaty mess. We went down to the bar and had a few beers and some food. Cassie was working the bar and Justin came in later. I felt better after the beer and food. Friday night was spent at home getting the final details for Saturday done.

Sunshine Cindy during the set up

On Saturday the news continued to be about Isaac. It was going to hammer Key West. At least that is what the Worry…I mean Weather Channel said. I was not sure how it was going to be so bad as it was not even a hurricane but only a Tropical Storm. While all that was going on we went to the Island to get checked into the hotel and head over to Anglers. Jim Asbell was going to get there about noon to start setting up. When I got there Jim was already there and getting things set up. Jim is a great guy that we hear every year in Key West. They always put on a great show and we were glad to get him. The music was starting at 4:00 with Eric Stone. Eric got there about 2:45 and the rest of Jim’s band got there about the same time. Everything was good to go.

Eric Stone

It was a great evening of music and dancing. Everyone had a blast. We had some real party folks there. I can’t name them all but it was fun. We had Anglers rocking. After the show Jim, Todd and Philip from his band stopped by our room for a few nightcaps. Judie, Kelly and Wayne brought some Waffle House burgers too. Thanks!!! We had a fun time. The news on Isaac was now showing it coming right to Destin. Main Street was the target. This was about 1:30 am in the morning.

Dancing to Jim Asbell & The Tropiholics

Sunday when we got up the path of Isaac was now a hundred miles farther west. In a few hours we went from ground zero to out of the danger zone. Of course it can change again but once it gets into the gulf, it is easier to pinpoint a landfall spot. That is why I don’t get too worked up until it is in the gulf. Key West was getting rain and wind on Sunday but nothing major. The news media almost sounded dejected. Sunshine Cindy and I went back to Anglers for brunch and to make sure everything was taken care of upstairs. It was all good and so was the food. While sitting there eating I looked at one of the TV’s with the Worry Channel on and there is a guy in Fort Walton Beach reporting. I see the pier in the background. The same pier I am looking at behind Anglers. The dude was right outside on the beach. The weather was perfect and many people were swimming. I guess that was not a good scene to show and we didn’t see him again. LOL

Beautiful Sunday morning with Isaac off the coast of Key West

Sunday afternoon we went to the harbor to see what was going on there in preparation. It was a ghost town. Most of the boats were taken to sheltered bayous in the bay. The outdoor places were all closed. The Boathouse was open but they were getting ready too. The love bugs were swarming. It was annoying. We had a beer at the Boathouse and one more at Harry T’s. We left to have a pizza at Landshark. We relaxed there talking to Sue and Steve. A nice end to the evening.

Its Monday and Isaac is now projected even farther west. It looks like New Orleans will get hit. This is not supposed to be a major hurricane and it is moving fast so hopefully they won’t get too much damage. Everyone remembers Katrina from a few years ago. I am ready for Isaac to go away. I am tired of hearing about him! See ya Thursday…

Trop Rock Chaos on the Island

This is an exciting week for us. Saturday is our big Crab Island Mambo party at Anglers Beachside Bar on Okaloosa Island. Tuesday Sunshine Cindy spent the day running around making sure all the last minute preparations are set. She stopped in at Anglers to verify all is in order and to drop off some more flyers. She also stopped in at the Sheraton Four Points hotel to touch base with them as they are the host hotel for us. Everything is in place. We have been hearing from friends near and far so it should be a fun time.

Anglers Beachside Bar

Tuesday night we stopped in at Landshark Pizza for some wings. There were a lot of locals there. Steve and his wife sat next to us. Paul and Turtle were there too. Stephanie took good care of us. We chatted with Brian for a while and he will be sending us new specials that he has upcoming for the football season. It was a relaxing evening.

Eric Stone

Wednesday Sunshine Cindy continued the prep for the party. We have got all of our merchandise together, our signs and everything we need to have a good time. I have been in touch with the musicians and they are all excited about playing for us. We have Eric Stone coming from the British Virgin Islands and Jim Asbell & the Tropiholics from Atlanta coming down. It is all coming together. Wednesday evening we went down to the harbor to the Tipsy Turtle to meet Loujean. She is making some jewelry for Crab Island Mambo that we will be selling. It is some neat stuff. Sunshine Cindy and Loujean talked business while I went to see Steve at the Hawaiian Ice booth. We have not talked to him in a while. Things are slow there as the kids have gone back to school.

Jim Asbell

We had fun at the Turtle. It was strictly a locals crowd. Kirby, Kelly, Matt behind the bar…it was a beautiful evening and a nice way to have a business meeting. Our attention is now also turning to the tropics where Tropical Storm Isaac is churning. The early projections have it heading this way but those things tend to change a lot. I guess our Saturday party will be a Hurricane party too. If it does come this way, it won’t be till Tuesday or Wednesday. We shall see. Everyone is welcome to join us Saturday. The music starts at 4:00 pm and runs till 10:00 pm. If you like Zac Brown, Kenny Chesney, that Buffett guy, the Beach Boys…Trop Rock music…then you need to come to “Trop Rock Chaos on the Island” and party with us. Here is a link with more details: http://www.crabislandmambo.com/Trop-Rock-Chaos-on-the-Island.html  A full report to follow on Monday if you can’t make the party. See you then…

No Mas Rain for Destin!

While most of the country is dry and in some type of a drought, Destin and the entire gulf coast continues to get hammered day after day. That just means we have to get out between the rain drops! Sunshine Cindy and I had decided that we would take it easy Friday. We had a big day planned for Saturday so we wanted to be in top shape. Well sometimes the best laid plans don’t always work out. It was going to be a short time at the harbor as the skies had cleared. We got down to the Tipsy Turtle around 6:00. Julie was back in town after being gone for two weeks on business. We met up, chatted a while and talked to some of the folks walking by. Jack stopped in and told me his wife loves this blog and reads it religiously. How cool and thank you Jack’s wife. (I screwed up and didn’t get your name…sorry!) A little while later Sharon came by and joined us. We also talked to a lady who likes Golden Corral and she made us hungry listening to her. LOL

"Wide Eyed" Kenny with his unique koozie

Matt and Mindy got there and started to play music about 8:30 and the crowd started to pick up. Kenny stopped in too and hung around with us for a while before heading to the Boathouse. Julie left about 9:30 right after the hookers walked by. Okay, they were probably not real hookers but they dressed the part and I will leave it at that. After Julie left we were about ready to go too when I felt a finger in my ear. It was Jan. He was down to see what was happening. He called Kenny and Kenny came back to join us. A few minutes later Brian from Landshark Pizza stopped by. And finally Sharon stopped back in. We finally snuck out about 11:00. So much for a short evening!

Beach Clean Up party fun

Saturday we had two big events planned. The first was a beach cleanup. Crab Island Mambo and the ECPHC are teamed up to do four cleanups a year. We always have fun and this one was no exception. After we clean the beach we have a party. About thirty people showed up and the weather was perfect. It was the best day we had in a long time. It was sunny with a slight breeze. The gulf was smooth and there was very little seaweed. A perfect day. Saturday evening Jan was playing at the Turtle. We was to start at 7:00. About 5:00 Sunshine Cindy and I went to Fisherman’s Wharf for some dinner. We had some great shrimp dinners. We finished about 6 and walked down to the Turtle. The skies were getting dark so I put the top up on BadAss hoping the weather gods would save us. They didn’t!

Julie, Matt and Sunshine Cindy hiding out during the rain

Jan and Loujean were there but he was not set up. He was on weather hold since this is all outdoors. Wayne, Kenny and Julie all got there before the skies opened up. It was a monsoon for a while. We were all under the tiki bar and staying relatively dry. About 8:15 or so it stopped. The radar looked like it would be good the rest of the night and even though there was almost no one on the boardwalk Jan got set  up. Oh wait, Travis walked by. This was a weird guy with no shirt or shoes who introduced himself to everyone. Not sure what that was all about but then again on the harbor you can never tell. Jan started playing about 8:45 and by 9:00 the Turtle was getting busy. By 9:30 the place was packed. Jan was pulling them in. It stayed that way for several hours. Matt had to call in Kirby to help as he could not keep up with the crowd. To think a couple of hours earlier he almost closed because of the weather. Jan never took a break. We finally left about midnight and I think he was just about ready to pack it in. A fun night for sure!

Loujean, Jan and Kenny staying dry

Guess what happened on Sunday? Yes, it rained again on and off all day. Sunshine Cindy and I stayed in to prepare for our big Trop Rock party at Anglers this coming Saturday. We are getting everything into order and the rain allowed us to stay in and not feel guilty. Today (Monday) it has rained even more. It has been going all day for the most part. No Mas!!!! See ya Thursday!

Small town Destin

After getting back home from NOLA on Monday it was time to get back to the grind. Back to work on Tuesday and back down to the Turtle on Wednesday to see what we missed over the weekend. We got a full report from Matt. Last weekend was the Powerboat Poker Run. This is the largest Poker Run in the country. Close to 200 boats take part in it. Boats that can cost up to a million bucks are here. Turns out two of these boats rented some slips from Galati Yachts that is right next to the Turtle. They had one big party with naked women, music drowning out everything and a couple of body guards making sure no one else got close. Wow. Saturday night the cops arrested some guy who had stolen some of the dollar bills off the wall at The Boathouse and was trying to use them at the Turtle. Hard to miss them since they are all marked up! To top it off, the cops ran a sting with an underage girl trying to buy drinks. Matt carded her but two other places on the harbor got busted. Miss a couple of days and you miss a lot in Destin.

The Boathouse

There was also a boating accident on Saturday in the bay. A powerboat not in the Poker Run hit a wake wrong and everyone in the boat was ejected. One guy drowned and it turns out we knew him. Tommy was a friend of Ron Adams and they used to come into Calhoun's all the time. That was sad news.

One of the "Go Fast" boats from a previous Poker Run

Thursday Sunshine Cindy and I headed over the Miller’s Ale House for some food and brews. We sat at the outside bar and had an enjoyable time. Julie and Ashley were behind the bar taking care of us. Ashley was training and had a fun personality. She was telling us about a party at Nighttown tonight called the “Pimp and Ho’s” party. She went into explicit detail about her sexy outfit. I think I should have had a cigarette after that talk. We also had a long talk with one of the managers. Jared stopped by to check on us and we ended up talking about Crab Island Mambo for a long while. We also found out he used to play hockey in the ECHL. That was the same league Pensacola had a team in plus he is best friends with Ryan Malone of the Tampa Bay Lightning. They grew up together and are still close. I love hockey so that was cool talking about that.

Ryan Malone to the left in the dark jersey from a game we went to

At one point it started to rain outside and I had make a dash to BadAss to put the top up. Score one for Mother nature. When we left Millers we stopped in at The Palms to see what was going on there. The Palms is a condo almost across the street from our sub division. There were only a few folks at the bar and the outside bar was not open. We grabbed a couple of beers and went to sit outside. It was a beautiful evening with a nice breeze and they have some nice patio furniture to sit on. One guy who works in the kitchen came out and chatted with us for a while. Turns out we had just missed Tom. We know Tom from the Turtle and he basically runs the condo. Oh well, maybe next time. It was just another typical Destin night. See ya Monday with a weekend wrap-up!

Six String Music Festival

Road trip time this weekend. We packed up BadAss Thursday morning and hit the road to New Orleans for Six String Music Festival. This is a fun party that raises money for a good cause. Over 300 folks were registered for all the fun. We hit a lot of rain driving over to NOLA. At times we were down to 25-30 on the interstate. We got there and got checked in to our hotel. The main event was starting Friday but there was music and a taping of a Radio Margaritaville show. We met up with Wayne, Joe, Barry and Patty at Razoo’s. From there we hit Cats as Wayne as a lot of friends there from his time living in NOLA. Tracy was DJ’ing and Nick showed up too. With three for one beers and Joe buying shots everyone started to feel good. Sunshine Cindy left this crew and headed to Margaritaville. We had a great time meeting new friends and listening to the music. We headed home after midnight.

Fun at Cats

Friday started with us registering for the event and then heading to Yo Mama’s for a burger and to get some food into us before we got the day started. From there it was to the Tropical Isle where the music was getting started. Thom Sheppard was the first act. Friends started showing up. Wayne, Barry, Kathy, Judie, Kelly, Leigh, Keith, Diane, Sharon…yep, a ton of folks. It was a blast there. Some of us left and headed to Cats. Judie talked me into singing. It was not pretty! lol The evening ended at Margaritaville again with Jim Morris doing his usual great show.

Singing(?) at Cats

Saturday was a wild day in NOLA. It was the Red Dress run day. Thousands of men and women in red dresses run and drink. Only in NOLA will you get over 65,000 people to wear red dresses and party like there is no tomorrow. What a sight. We spent most of the afternoon upstairs in Tropical Isle at "Top of the Trop." One musical act after another played. Everyone had a blast and we even spent some time on the balcony watching the madness below on Bourbon Street. Once again everyone headed to Margaritaville. Thanks to my friend Steve, I was able to talk with Radio Margaritaville personalities Greg Dumas and Carson Cooper. I was able to let them know what Crab Island Mambo is all about. That was cool. The music ended about 11 and most everyone went to the hotel for a pool party. The Six String pool party is legendary. Once again it was a wild time. The cops showed up about 2:15 am and shut down the music. Hey, I thought this was a party town! lol

The Red Dress crowd on Bourbon

Sunday was a wind down day as the last event was a brunch at Margaritaville. Having been up so late we decided to pass on the brunch. Sorry Brent! Sunshine Cindy and I got out about noon and went to Pat O’Brian’s. We had not been there before so we stopped in for a drink. We found out Wayne and his crew was doing a pub crawl. We joined them at a locals place called The John. We hit several more local spots. Saturday night Sunshine Cindy won a bidding war for a Landshark surfboard and paddle. Wayne agreed to take it back to Destin for us as it would not fit in BadAss. So there we were walking down the streets carrying this surfboard. Not unusual in the Quarter I guess as we hardly got a second glance. Off we all went to Pam and Earl’s place called Grapevine. It is a wine bar with a great laid back vibe. Pam and Earl joined us as did Lance. I think Lance could be a comedian. He had us all in stiches. Some girl in there talked to Earl and didn’t know he was the owner. Pretty funny. The evening ended hours later with Wayne, Barry, Sunshine Cindy and myself at Camellia Grill. This is a NOLA institution.

Margaritaville Casino

Monday was the day to return to Destin. Once again we hit some monsoon rains. We made a stop in Biloxi to stop at Buffett’s new casino. It is pretty small but has a nice feel. We ate and made a “donation” before we left to hit the road home. We made it safe and sound. Time to get ready to return to work and back into our usual Destin fun. See ya all on Thursday!

Back to New Orleans

This has been a short work week. I took Wednesday off to prepare for our trip to New Orleans. We leave early on Thursday so I am a little early getting this week’s blog out. We continue to get hammered with pop-up thunderstorms here in Destin. They come out of nowhere, drop a ton of rain and are gone. Typical Florida summer weather.

Kenny trying a paddleboard

Monday evening was spent working on this month’s Crab Island Mambo Mullet Wrapper. With the trip this weekend I had to get ahead. It will be another great edition if I do say so myself! LOL  Tuesday after work was the official start of my vacation. Sunshine Cindy and I went to Landshark Pizza for some food and brews. A good crowd was in there. The Olympics were on the TV…Women’s beach volleyball. Need I say more! Kimmy and Stephanie were working the bar and tables and Matt was doing some cooking. Brian talked to us for a while before he headed home. Scotty and Kim came in and sat next to us and we all talked about the Olympics. Then Steve came in and chatted with us too. He had never met Sunshine Cindy and he joked that she needed glasses so she could see who she was dating. Funny guy! LOL

As we were leaving Scotty and Kim talked us into going to Hogs Breath Saloon. When Scotty saw BadAss he wanted to ride over with us. He fell in love with my car. At Hogs Rikki was behind the bar and Flash Flood Duo were playing. “Coach” from The Boathouse was there and several others we didn’t know. It was fun but time to head home had been reached.

Sunshine Cindy with Scotty and Kim at Hogs Breath

Wednesday was a quiet day. I went down to the harbor and saw Steve at the Hawaiian Ice booth. Chatted with him for a while then took off across the island to KC’s Sandbar in Fort Walton Beach. Renee was behind the bar and a few folks were around the bar. Scott came by and sat down next to me and we talked for a while. He hurt his knee Memorial Weekend and is still trying to get the surgery done. He was working two jobs but didn’t have any insurance. He is in pain daily as he works to get all the paperwork done to have the surgery. And by the way, he is not able to work either. He worked security at KC’s and took tourist out diving. With the bad knee he can’t do either. Hopefully he will be able to get this fixed soon but the summer is gone. Jan showed up as he was leading the sunset sing-a-long. We talked too but I was ready to head home. On the way out I ran into Kenny. He had a thumb drive for me of Crab Island pictures. They will show up here from time to time. Okay, time to get ready to hit the road. I will have a full report on Monday! See ya then…

Fun Weekend in Destin

When I last left you Thursday afternoon, we did not have too many plans yet for the weekend. But like always in Destin things change fast as we “Embrace the Chaos!” Thursday evening we went to Landshark Pizza for some dinner. We met Julie there and had fun with Brian and Paige. Sunshine Cindy and I left there and headed to the Rotten Apple. We wanted to talk to Rose the bartender. When we got there, Pete had just finished playing. Turns out he is moving to Colorado in a couple of weeks. I hope it works out for him. Ed and his wife were there. Then Turtle and his girlfriend showed up. We chatted with all of them. Then as we were getting ready to leave Chief from KC’s Sandbar and Rose came in. We didn’t expect to see them on this side of town. It was a fun evening.

Neat looking clouds over the Destin harbor

Friday started with me having to go into work for a while. It was supposed to be my off day but duty called. When I left it was noon and I stopped at KC’s. No one was there except the bartender. I had a beer and cruised over to Anglers on the Island. Red was behind the bar and was happy to see me as it has been a while. While there a dude with a Mohawk, piercings and tons of tattoo’s sat down next to me to get a drink to go. He ordered a “surfer on acid” drink. I had never heard of it. I asked him what was in it and he bought me one too. He was a good guy. Don’t judge a book by its cover I always say.  I also noticed Anglers had our flyers posted about our big “Trop Rock Chaos on the Island” party we are throwing on August 25th. Stop in if you are in Destin that afternoon from 4-10 pm as we have a musician from the British Virgin Islands and a great band from Atlanta playing. It will be fun.

View down the Boardwalk

Friday evening was going to be a quiet night….not! We went to the harbor and the Tipsy Turtle. Matt was in his rare form. A lot of people were just hanging out in the area. I had my “Jack” hat on and a guy asked me about it. Turns out he works for the Jack Daniels distillery. He bought me a beer. I was on a roll Friday. Matt and Mindy played and Mindy’s Dad was there. We then got to talking to a couple of ladies who were from Iowa City. They were in town with the family of one of the girls. A while later a brother and a sister also showed up. They were all party people and having a good time. Matt stayed real busy all night. We were surprised how busy he was. He ran out of PBR’s and Corona’s and still had hours to go. As we left to head home we passed the American Legion. The parking lot was full so we stopped in. There was a church group in there celebrating someone’s birthday. They were having fun doing Karaoke but they were not drinking so the bar was not seeing much of a bump. Oh well, not everyone can be a party animal! lol

Fun on the beach

Saturday was a day we spent with family. It was Sunshine Cindy’s Moms birthday. She turned ____....like I am going to tell! lol It was a fun day celebrating. In the evening Sunshine Cindy and I went to the pool where we had it to ourselves. The water is warm like bath water. In fact, the air temp was cooler so when we got out it actually felt cold. Sunday I headed to the harbor. I had to meet Steve at the Hawaiian Ice booth. Sunshine Cindy did not want to go down as she was getting ready for our trip to New Orleans in a few days. Wayne met me at the Turtle and we walked down to see Steve. From there we went to Crab Island Cantina and then back to the Turtle. They were having a baby shower for Ben and his wife so a lot of folks were around. Matt was his usual crazy self. Our friend from Albany GA (Alphonse) stopped in too. He was on his way back to Albany and figured we would be there. Paul, Tom, Kirby, Jack, Brian and Sue from Landshark Pizza were there among others. Even a brief rain shower could not slow us down. The perfect end to another great weekend in Destin, FL! See ya Thursday…

"Night Moves"

This has been a weird weather week here on the Emerald Coast. Monday and Tuesday we had on and off monsoon rains from thunderstorms that were rolling through the area so we stayed in. We finally got some relief on Wednesday afternoon with the sun coming out full blast. Of course that just made it hotter and more humid if that was possible. As a point of reference, the temperature was 89 degrees  with the humidity about the same at 6:00 am Monday morning. Yes, 6 am! But I am not complaining as I love the heat.

Darla

One of the cool things about living in Destin is you never know who you might run into. A lot of sports stars, musicians and movie stars either have places here or visit on a regular basis. It seems everyone has a story about meeting someone like that. Musician JB was telling me last week about a gig he did at Tightlines earlier this year. He said it was dead in the place with only 10 or 12 people there. As he finished a set a guy came up and started asking him questions about his guitar. This guy told him what a good guitar it was and would he mind if he played a song. JB always lets people play so the guy started playing Night Moves. This is the old Bob Seeger song. JB said the guy was fantastic and sounded so much like Seeger it was scary. Not knowing what Bob Seeger looks like now he Googled him when he got home. Yep, it was Bob Seeger who was playing his guitar that night. JB said he felt so dumb but who would know.

Erika

This past weekend the folks at Aloha rentals rented a pontoon boat to the stars of Swamp People. The girl who rented them the pontoon said she looked at the guy and said you look so familiar, where do I know you from? He told her and she was surprised she didn’t recognize him as she watches that show all the time. My own personal experience was running into former pro football player and current Green Bay Packer coach Kevin Greene in my dentist office. He uses the same dentist that I do. I saw his name on the sign-in sheet and was wondering if it was him. I could hear them talking in the back and I knew then it was. As he left and walked by me, I was struck by the skinny bird legs he had. I was going to say something but then I remembered how he used to kill quarterbacks so I decided to just nod as he walked by! LOL

"Embrace the Chaos!"

This week has been pretty quiet on the party front. With the rain we have spent most of our time in the evening working on Crab Island Mambo stuff. We will be in New Orleans next weekend so I had to get ahead of the power curve on some things this week. It's late afternoon as I write this and we will probably go out somewhere tonight. Most likely the Rotten Apple for a while. We will be somewhere over the weekend too. Just not sure where yet! Where ever it is, I will have a full wrap up on Monday. See ya then...
