Sunshine Cindy and I hope all of our family and friends had a safe and fun New Year’s celebration!
We spent the day at Landshark Pizza watching the inevitable…The Browns going winless for the season. Like so many other games this year it was close and if they only made a play or two more it might have been different. But alas it was another loss.
Our Baltimore friends all came to this early game to help root the Browns on. At times it sounded like we were winning the Super Bowl. It was crazy how much fun we were having watching a winless team. We stayed for the late games as the Ravens only needed to win to get into the playoffs next week. Maybe the bad mojo rubbed off on the Ravens as they lost in the end. It was a sad ending for them. Our Falcons fans were happy though as they won to advance to the playoffs. Now my Browns jersey is hung up for another year.
I had a head cold all of last week that I dictated I lay low. I had to go into work and that didn’t help. We missed our Parrot Head New Year’s Eve Eve party on Saturday night. In fact, the Sunday football games were the only thing we did.
Destin was busy with holiday tourist in town. Each evening I drove home from work you could see the restaurants were crowded and the roads were busy. The weather was nice but it has now turned cold. But at least we are not having snow and below zero temps. No complaints here.
Around town it was announced Buck’s BBQ is closing. Actually they are merging with another group. It will now be called Mo’s BBQ. This is a chain based out of Alabama. So long Buck’s, you will be missed.
Okay, let’s jump into 2018 and have a fantastic year! See ya next Monday!
Destin Steve
